Lauren attends Nicole Richie's baby shower -

Nicole Richie celebrated her pregnancy with a Wizard of Oz-themed baby shower at the Beverly Hills Hotel Sunday. It was hosted by her mother, Brenda, her sister, Sophia, and her long time pals, Paris Hilton and Masha Gordon.

Richie, 26 — who is due in January — arrived in a blue-trimmed white dress around 1:30 p.m. She was greeted by life-size replicas of all of the Oz characters — Dorothy, the tinman, the lion, the scarecrow and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Party planner Mindy Weiss threw the bash, a source told Usmagazine.com.

“The shower was really cute,” Hilton told Us. “We had a Wizard of Oz cake.”

The 90 guests — including Lauren Conrad, celeb DJ Samantha Ronson and Aussie singer Sophie Monk (Benji Madden's fiancée ) — noshed on “little burgers and pasta,” Hilton added.

The bash ended around 4 p.m.

“The shower was great,” Conrad told Us. “It was really cute."

It was the first of five baby showers Richie plans to hold, sources tell Us.

It's Really Really Real Really

Lauren Conrad, one of the people on that show "The Hills" is sick of hearing that the show is fake. Lauren is really pissed about the rumors that her show is faker than Spencer's teeth.

She said, "There have been some rumors in the press about The Hills being fake. Many of you have been asking me if the rumors are true. There are false rumors every week about me and I can’t address every rumor out there, but I feel like this was important for me to respond to. The show is not fake and this is really my life."

She can't address every rumor, because the publicists only wrote this statement and she can only memorize so much at a time.

Fake or not, it's still vapid cheese. I only watch it, because I love seeing Whitney say "What did you do last night?" to Lauren during every single episode.

The show's not fake guys! They just tell us what to say, because we're too stupid to come up with things to say on our known.

Lauren Conrad: ‘’The Hills’ is Real, It’s My Life

Lauren Conrad and BFF roommate Audrina Patridge hit up the black carpet at the launch of the “Blackjack II phone by Samsung” held at Hollywood restaurant Beso on Wednesday.

Lauren, 21, just released a statement defending the integrity of her MTV reality series, The Hills.

“There have been some rumors in the press about The Hills being fake,” she says. “Many of you have been asking me if the rumors are true. There are false rumors every week about me and I can’t address every rumor out there, but I feel like this was important for me to respond to. The show is not fake and this is really my life. I have addressed these rumors in an interview with InTouch Magazine’s Nov.26th issue.”

Hills Hotties At Victoria’s Secret Show

There must’ve been a buy-one-get-one sale on black dresses when Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge went shopping for their night at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Or maybe their BFF status helped them coordinate their outfits via ESP. Either way, these two ladies looked hot on the red carpet last night in Los Angeles.

Conrad rocked a sheer black dress with ruffled straps, accented by very minimal jewelry and topped off with a pair of classic black heels.

Audrina, meanwhile opted for a shorter, above-the-knee number with an off-the-shoulder strap style and black pumps. Both ladies made this classic style look good.

Beverly Hills Hotel Immune to Lauren's Charm

Don't expect to see reality TV riff-raff like The Hills star Lauren Conrad at the Beverly Hills Hotel's newish Nineteen 12 bar anytime soon. According to a recent guest there, doormen at the bar—where a vodka tonic will set you back an unsavory $18—have been given a strict edict by management: No trash.

"When the guy with the guest list was giving someone in our party a hard time, he said, 'I'm sorry, but we're trying not to let in people like Paris Hilton and Lauren Conrad,'" laughs Radar's source. Lauren Conrad helps shine light on Darfur crisis

Lauren Conrad, best know from MTV reality shows "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills," is trying to raise awareness of the crisis in Darfur.

LC, along with Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, Desmond Tutu, Barak Obama, Jessica Biel and many others, each star in their own 30-second public service announcements on Darfur.

The PSAs are part of a social action campaign for the feature film documentary "Darfur Now," which follows six people who are trying to bring an end to the crisis.

Lauren & Heidi's Secret Meeting: Are They Friends Again?

It seems Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag have put their differences aside and ended their celebrity feud. The Hills stars were seen together the weekend before Halloween getting into Lauren's black Mercedes convertible, which was parked in the garage of Lauren's building, a source tells Star. "They were laughing, hugging and being very affectionate with one another," says the source.

"There were no MTV cameras around," the source adds. "This seemed like the real deal. I saw Heidi coming to visit Lauren at her apartment without her fiancé Spencer Pratt.

"So why the low-key meeting? "I think Lauren and Heidi made a secret pact not to tell anyone," the source says. After all, The Hills thrives on drama from their falling out. Things will heat up on Monday's episode though when Lauren and Heidi have a face-to-face talk. Considering that Lauren tells Heidi, "I want to forgive you, and I want to forget you," in a video preview of the episode, it doesn't seem like an on-screen reconciliation is imminent.

The Hills Are Alive With New Men

The ladies were out last night and on the prowl!

Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge totally scored at the Maxim launch party for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed party in LA on Tuesday evening.

LC spent all night hanging out with Shawn Pyfrom from Desperate Housewives and Audrina got herself Tyson Paige, a HOT model.

And, to up the dramz a notch, Justin Bobby was also there, and he was not feeling it that Audrina was ignoring him all night long.“

LC and Shawn cuddled all night,” a spywitness tells PerezHilton.com. “There was no overt kissing in public. LC and Shawn were just hanging out most of the night and dancing, but as soon and the drinks started to flow they got closer and closer, seemed to really hit it off. I saw them exchange numbers.”

And Patridge had a lot of fun as well.“

Audrina disappeared for an hour and she was in the bathroom with Tyson making out,” a source tells us. “Justin Bobby got so mad he stormed off and went to the club next door.”

Brody’s Parents on Lauren: Two Thumbs Up!

While Brody Jenner and Lauren Conrad consider rekindling their relationship on The Hills, Conrad is already getting the go-ahead from Jenner’s parents.

At a recent celebrity golf tournament hosted by the Entertainment Industry Foundation, Bruce Jenner told PEOPLE, “I wouldn’t watch [the show] probably if it wasn’t for Brody. But I try to get in as many [episodes] as I possibly can.” And it’s proven to be a good way to keep a close eye on his son’s romantic entanglements.

Though Jenner says he has a “hard time trying to keep up with all the drama on that show,” he admits he’s tuned in enough to make a judgment call on whether Conrad would be a good person for his son to date.

“I have no problem with that,” he said. “Brody’s a good kid. He’s dated a lot of girls and yeah, Lauren would be very good.”

When asked how she felt about getting Mr. Jenner’s approval at the launch party for the new videogame “Assassin’s Creed” Tuesday night, Conrad laughed, before revealing that he wasn’t the only one she’d impressed.

“When I kissed him on his birthday, his mom [Linda Thompson] was there, and walked over and gave him the double thumbs,” she tells PEOPLE. “I almost died!”

On Sunday, Lauren, 21, dropped by the P.S. ARTS 10th annual ‘Express Yourself’ event at Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, Calif. The event, which also brought out Sex and the City’s Kristin Davis and Friends‘ Lisa Kudrow, was used to help restore art education in public schools.

"If This Thing Bites Me, He's Dead"

You know Ms. Conrad has no time for dog spittle. Here's Lauren Conrad, along with other celebs such as Lisa Kudrow, Kristin Davis, and Molly Sims appearing at the P.S. Art's 10th annual Express Yourself arts event in Santa Monica. P.S. Arts is a non-profit organization that's trying bring arts education back to public schools. Do you think Target sponsored this? I don't know. Unless that dog has a scorching case of conjunctivitis....

"We always go home with something [my son] Julien makes, like a placemat that we use all the time," said Kudrow of her support of the group over the years. "More importantly, we raise awareness about P.S. Arts to get the arts back in education."

I want a Julien Kudrow placemat! Seriously, doesn't Lauren Conrad look like a dog-kicker? That dog better watch its ass if it even tries to nuzzle her. "This top is from Fred Segal, you mutt! Lay off!"

Audrina Patridge: The Hills is, Like, Totally Real

The Hills is scripted and fake. This has been hinted at for months, and recently confirmed by MTV. But why should that stop Audrina Patridge from saying it’s not!?

“Everything is real,” Patridge told People at Les Deux last week. “[Lauren Conrad] and me are real friends. We live in our apartment. That’s real, like, where we work, everything. The situations are real.”

Except for, you know, the fact that The Hills stars seem to party at Les Deux every other night, which Audrina admits is thanks in part to the producers.

“I mean, the producers might be like, ‘Okay, we want you to go to Les Deux tonight,’ so we go. But then whatever happens, happens,” Patridge said. “And they might do things to tweak it a little bit, but not our reactions… it’s totally real. It’s reality.”

What’s more, Patridge wouldn’t have reunited with her current loser beau Justin “Bobby” Brescia if it wasn’t for The Hills, sources close to the star say.

“When The Hills producers encouraged [Audrina Patridge] to start dating again for the show, she called Justin,” said a pal in In Touch Weekly’s October 29 issue. “But it’s not about the show anymore.” Also, Justin-Bobby sucks. Just saying.

The romantic relationship between “engaged” The Hills couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, while nauseating, is apparently real, however.

Also legit? Spencer Pratt’s feud with former best buddy Brody Jenner, who began to hang out once again with Lauren Conrad - Heidi’s worst enemy.

“It’s not a publicity stunt, it’s very legit,” Brody Jenner himself told In Touch about his falling out with Spencer. “But I wish him nothing but the best.”

How nice. Lastly, reports say that there may be a major Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad cat fight in the works… one boiling over on the season finale.

That doesn’t sound fake at all.

Lauren Conrad admitted producers may “hype up” The Hills drama, however she echoed Patridge’s comments that the cast members aren’t “characters.”

“At the end of the day, they can edit all they want, but you said and did everything that’s on the show,” Conrad told In Touch. “If you’re a nice person, you’re going to look like a nice person. If you’re a mean person, you’re gonna look mean.”

Lauren Conrad Sock Puppet Says it All

The playful and pretty star of The Hills, Lauren Conrad, had herself some fun with a sock puppet at the P.S. Arts 10th Annual Express Yourself Gala at Santa Monica Airport’s Barker hanger on Sunday. She was all smiles, that’s for sure!

What was this LC sock puppet thinking, though? That’s another story …

That’s right … Lauren Conrad doesn’t even have to open her mouth. Everyone - even puppets - knows that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are Hollywood’s most hated. Just the same, what would we do without Heidi and Spencer to pick on?

Well, we would probably just go on and on about how we love Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port. But that was meant more as a rhetorical question really.

LC Playing Around

Remember when Lauren said people find her smile "creepy"? I think this was what they were referring to. Here she is at the P.S. Arts 10th Annual Express Yourself Gala in Santa Monica yesterday, playing with a puppet. A puppet that is not Audrina.

The stars were out on Sunday night (November 4) for the 10th anniversary Express Yourself fundraiser in Santa Monica.

With Daniel Powter on the list of performers, the Target sponsored event was in benefit of the P.S. Arts program to restore arts education to public schools.

Spotted on the red carpet, posing with the Target dog, were celebs including The Hills star Lauren Conrad and supermodel Petra Nemcova.

Also there to join in on the fun were former Friends actress Lisa Kudrow, Sex and the City star Kristin Davis, and Petra’s fellow supermodel friend, Molly Sims.

Nicole Richie & Lauren Conrad: New BFF Alert?

Nicole Richie seems to have a new pal – or, at least a dining companion – in Lauren Conrad. After lunching together at popular L.A. eatery Joan's On Third recently (along with fellow Hills star Audrina Patridge), the pair met up again – this time for dinner Sunday at Café Sushi in Los Angeles.

The friends greeted each other warmly, and as they sat and pored over the menu, mom-to-be Richie was especially cautious about what she was eating (she eventually settled on green salad and a salmon tempura roll).

Look Out, Vanessa Hudgens: Lauren Conrad Digs Zac Efron

The beautiful Lauren Conrad recently gave us some insight as to her dating secrets as the cover girl of the newest Us Weekly. She also revealed some of the absolute lamest pickup lines of all time - ones actually used on her! Come on, guys.

In the same interview, the star of MTV’s The Hills also dished about a few of her celebrity crushes - namely Mark Wahlberg and (please don’t shoot the messenger, Zanessa fans) High School Musical hunk Zac Efron).

“I know he is younger than me, and it’s just because I am the hugest dork, but I absolutely love Zac Efron,” Lauren Conrad admitted. “His hair is always so pretty!”

Should Vanessa Hudgens be worried? We don’t think so. Despite rumors to the contrary, Zanessa has been going strong ever since her nude photo scandal.

As for Lauren, she’s still a single gal - and that’s alright with her. She told Us Weekly that she and American Idol star Chris Richardson have always been just friends, as have she and Brody Jenner, despite their obvious romantic chemistry.

Conrad said she isn’t jealous of Jason Wahler’s fiancee, Katja Decker-Sadowski, but was worried that her ex may have gotten engaged too soon out of rehab.

Well the gruesome twosome Brody Jenner & Frankie Delgado might have found more trouble then they bargained for in Canada. The boys were out clubbing this weekend in Toronto at an ALL AGES EVENT!! Problem is there are pictures coming out of the two with a bunch of 16 year olds. Frankie is photographed undressing said underage teens. Trouble!!

Hills Watch: Whitney's All Work While Lauren Plays

Turns out, it's not all fun in the sun on The Hills.

This week's episode focuses on Lauren and Whitney's internship duties at Teen Vogue, and - gasp! - actually shows them doing something other than sitting at their computers gossiping all day. Maybe these stars really are just like Us!

As the all-important Fashion Week approaches, Whit and LC are whisked away to New York City by boss Lisa Love to discuss party-planning for a mag bash at Teen Vogue's Manhattan HQ. But just as soon as the girls pack their bags for the Big Apple, we learn that Whitney will be a busy little worker bee while her counterpart is off "assisting" at a Marc Jacobs model casting.

Back at Teen Vogue's nerve center, Whitney's sweating blonde bullets presenting project deets to the suits, who throw her curve-ball questions! (Does it really matter how many trees or lighting fixtures there are at the venue?)

But our girl pulls through just as we knew she would, wiping the sweat off her brow just before her bestie returns from the swanky showroom. Lauren gushes that she met Jacobs himself and fortunately managed to shy away from any boys named Gavin.

With the NYC presentation in the can, the girls head back home, where Brody and Spencer's dude-vorce is getting ugly. The gist: Brody won't return Spencer's phone calls, presumably because he's still miffed at Speidi for those rumors.

But all is well and good once Bro-dog has a heartfelt gossip sesh with LC, who admits she doesn't want to be held responsible for the boys' break-up. Brody appears to agree, but, if you ask Us, it looked like he was hoping for a little less conversation and a little more action.

Lauren: The Worst Pick-Up Lines She's Ever Heard

Ever think that Hills star Lauren Conrad is too picky about guys?

Maybe it's due to the awful passes she's been subjected to!

"Pickup lines have become so cheesy, people hear them as a joke now," Conrad, 21, says in the new issue of Us Weekly.

Some of the worst pickup lines she's heard?

"A guy the other day said, 'You're a smoking babe and I think you should call me,' and handed me his number," Conrad says, adding, "I just wonder if that's ever actually worked. 'Smoking babe'?"

And there's worse!"I had a guy come up to me and ask for a Band-Aid and I said, 'No, I don't have a Band-Aid.' Then he said, 'You're supposed to ask me why,'" she tells Us.

When the ever-friendly Conrad played along and asked him, the pickup artist replied, "Because I scraped my knee when I fell for you." Conrad recalls, "I didn't understand it. I was like, 'Did you really fall?'"Still, Conrad realizes it can be intimidating for anyone -- including herself -- to approach members of the opposite sex. She admits, "I've pretended to know a guy before" in order to get his attention. "I said, 'I think I know you from somewhere.'"Adds Conrad, "It's hard to walk up to someone out of nowhere and be like, 'Hi, I'm Lauren.'"

Lauren KIISes and Tells

It's Lauren with the latest from My Mobile Life.

Last week, Audrina and I went to the KIIS-FM Homecoming concert in Los Angeles. We introduced Ryan Seacrest at the show! The concert was a lot of fun, and we got to hear some great musical acts like Timbaland. Unfortunately, we missed Gwen Stefani's performance because we had to leave early for a Halloween party. The funny thing was that everyone got picked up and dropped off in Escalades, but Audrina and I were driven in a minivan! Not the hippest car -- but we rocked it out anyway!

Oh, and this week, Audrina is hosting a Halloween party at Les Deux. She's going as Madonna during her "Like a Virgin" era, while I'm going as a sailor. Should be a blast!

On a more serious note, my family's former cabin near Lake Arrowhead was lost in the wildfires that ravaged Southern California. We no longer owned it -- but my parents sold it to a friend of the family and the house was furnished with all our old stuff. We were lucky that no one was hurt. So many people in Southern California had to evacuate, and over 2,000 people lost their homes. Thankfully, firefighters worked hard, and by the time this posts, the fires should all be out!

Lauren: "I'm the hugest dork, but I love Zac Efron"

Reality TV fashion designer Lauren Conrad, 21, has had her share of failed faux-mances, but admitted she has a crush on High School Musical star Zac Efron, 20. The Hill's hottie revealed to Us Weekly:

"He's so cute! He is younger than me, and it's just because I'm the hugest dork, but I love Zac Efron. His hair is always so pretty!"

She also likes Marky Mark, but thinks the 36-year-old actor is too old for her:

"I've always loved Mark Wahlberg. He's just so cute. Ever since I first saw his movie the Italian Job, I've loved him.. He's a little old for me."

It's barely November, but this week, my family and I got together to shoot pictures for our annual Christmas card! This time, my mother, father, brother, sister and I gathered in Laguna Beach to get the perfect yuletide shot.

Each year we pick a color theme for the photo. This time we decided on navy and white. It was a lot of fun to pose with my family, but it was particularly cold that day, so I was freezing! Just like Christmas in the rest of the country!

I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween.

The Hills: Where BFFs go to live and die

When the former BFFs — Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad — parted ways, the new season of “The Hills” gave way to a new duo who took over the show.

No I’m not talking about “Speidi” (as the brilliant EW Hills blog calls Spencer and Heidi) Nor am I referring to Lauren and Audrina.

Nope I’m talking about Brody and Frankie.

In case you’re not a fan of the show, Brody and Frankie are the two guys who met through their mutual acquaintance Lauren and became best bros, albeit, by default.

You see when Spencer and Heidi started dating, they both shunned their respective BFFs, Brody and Lauren.

After much bickering, Lauren sided with her new BFF Audrina, and Brody started to hang with his new pal Frankie Delgado.

I wouldn’t make such a big deal between Brody and Frankie hanging out but the two have been paling around a lot more on “The Hills” and in L.A.

They’re blossoming friendship became even clearer to me when I was watching “Keeping up with the Kardashians.” Brody and Frankie were babysitting together during a recent episode of that horrible reality TV show on E!

Why were they there you ask?

You see “The Kardashians” features the family of Kim Kardashian, the Paris Hilton pal who also made a sex tape with her ex Ray-J and later posed for Playboy. Anyhow, Kim’s step father is none other than the Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner, who also happens to be Brody’s dad.

Apparently Brody leaves “The Hills” once in a great while, and visits his reality TV family on the “Kardashians.” Though he left Lauren behind, in the episode I watched, Brody brought along Frankie and they ended up babysitting the youngest Kardashians.

Though I despise “The Kardashians,” the horrible TV show gave birth to an intriguing idea — why not give Brody and Frankie their own show?

Brody and Frankie, or as I now like to say, ‘Brokie,’ could be a guys version of “The Hills,” sort of like a real-life “Entourage.” And with most of “The Hills” viewership being female or gay, I think giving Brokie more screen time could be a ratings winner.

Until that happens, watch “The HIlls” at 10 p.m. Monday on MTV.
